I'm a Research and Innovation Consultant at SEEK. I love research, understanding human needs, desires and motivations. I believe that understanding humans at a holistic level enables deeper insights that drive growth and innovation. When you approach problems from a human centric perspective you can define the right problem to solve and find the best solution for both humans and your business.
My educational background is in psychology and human factors psychology. I have worked as a UX researcher for the past 10 years at both agencies and client-side. I have had my own freelance consulting service since 2015 and have worked with clients including Ford and GE Healthcare.
So many books to choose from! In fiction, my favorite book is Old Man’s War (actually the entire series). I find myself going back to this book at least once a year mostly because I find the concept so interesting and it’s really well written.
In non-fiction, my favorite book is Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman, a great read to understand that we as humans have different ways of processing information and that each has its pros and cons. I consider this an essential read for a UX researcher, or any social/behavioral researcher period.
