MREF Race Around The World – The Best Kept Secret In Our Industry

I’m hoping this post will change that.  Given this is going out on all our social media channels, I know it will eventually reach many of my friends and peers in the Market Research industry.  First, thanks for taking a few minutes to read this. And if you’re not in the industry and we are connected in some other way, thanks for reading this far.  I hope you’ll stay with me for a few more minutes.

The Market Research Education Foundation is a strong philanthropic arm of our industry.  Founded many years ago by a handful of CEOs who had a relentless passion for educating children around the world and allowing those in the Market Research field to jump in and participate.  This effort died down in the late 2000’s but was revived in 2016 by Steve Schlesinger (who was also a founding member of the MREF) and since that time, Steve has built a powerful (yet very humble) board to serve this purpose.

One of the key events that the MREF puts on every year is called the “MREF Race Around the World.”  Last year, we raised close to $75,000 that was distributed to several schools and education programs worldwide during the Covid Crisis.  This year’s event is all about providing for children affected by the war in Ukraine.  As refugees flee the country, we will be racing to raise money for those most affected by this event and making sure they have their basic needs met.

As a board member of the MREF, I am honored and humbled to be able to lead, at some level, with a group of amazing people who share this same passion for leading.  The MREF movement is making a huge difference in the lives of children and their families who are experiencing hell on earth through the displacement of their lives.

Interested in being a part of this courageous movement?  Want to join those in our industry who have experienced the incredible gift of leading and giving?  Join us in the 2nd annual MREF race around the world.  There are several ways you and your teams can get involved.

1. You can sponsor the race itself with 4 levels of corporate sponsorship.

2. Sign up for the race and make a personal donation.

3. Join a team on the website and compete by recording your daily walking or riding.

4. Share this link with others in your network.

5. Celebrate with us as our industry comes together to improve lives and educate children around the world.

I hope you’ll join us in whatever way works for you.  Bring others with you and let’s go change the world!

Humbly Grateful for all of you!
